Mullayangiri


At a distance of 20 km from Chikmagalur and 23 km from – Baba Budangiri (by road), Mullayanagiri located in Chikmagalur district is the highest peak in Karnataka with an altitude of 1950 meters. Regarded as the highest peak between Himalayas and Nilgiris, Mullayanagiri is one of the best treks in Karnataka and among the top trekking places to visit in Chikmagalur.

Kemmanagundi


It is popularly known by the name of KR Hills, named after the Mysore King Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV. Mesmerized by the beauty of the place, he made Kemmangundi as his summer retreat. He later donated this resort to the Government of Karnataka.

Kalahatti Falls


Kalahatti Falls, one of the major tourist spots of the region, is located at a distance of 10 km from Kemmangundi. The 122 m high waterfall along with its beautiful surroundings is a favoured tourist spot. Waterfall is also popular with some other names like Kallathigiri Falls and Kalahasthi Falls.

Kudremukh


Mountain range and name of a peak located in Chikkamagaluru district, in Karnataka, India. It is also the name of a small hill station cum mining town situated near the mountain, about 48 kilometres from Karkala and around 20 kilometres from Kalasa. The name Kuduremukha literally means ‘horse-face’ (Kannada) and refers to a particular picturesque view of a side of the mountain that resembles a horse’s face.

At a distance of 29 km from Kemmanagundi & 36 km from Chikmagalur, Baba Budangiri (also known as Dattagiri & Chandra Drona Parvatha) is a mountain in the Baba Budan range in Chikmagalur District of Karnataka. At an altitude of 1895 m, this is one of the top places for trekking in Karnataka.

Charmadi Ghat is a mountain range in Mudigere and is one of the motorable passes which connects Dakshina Kanada with Chikkamagaluru. The National Highway 73 runs through this ghat and has 12 hairpin curves. It receives over 7000 nm of rainfall every year. Netravati River originates between Charmadi and Kudremukh in Bangarabalike.
