Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary
Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected Tiger Reserve, playing a natural home to the endangered big cat. It is a popular place of outing which has a diverse range of flora and fauna. It is surrounded by scenic beauties like Mullayangiri Hills, Baba Budangiri Hills, and Hebbegiri State Forest Hills. Other animals found here include gaurs, elephants, black panthers, pangolin, porcupine, etc.
At a distance of 67 Kms from Sringeri, 90 Kms from Chikmagalur and 26 Kms from Kudremukh Town, Kudremukh is one of the best trekking destinations in Karnataka. At an altitude of 1894m, it is one of the highest peaks of Western Ghats and among the top destinations for trekking in Karnataka.
Muthodi Wildlife Sanctuary
Muthodi is one of the two main reserve parts of Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, another being Lakkavali. Kalahatti Giri is the highest peak in this sanctuary, laden with lush green vegetation. More than 120 species of trees call this place their home, including Teak, Rosewood, Mathi and Kindal.
